A Message from the Founders
There is a proven link between mental health and skincare. Today, women with persistent skin conditions are much more likely to experience anxiety because stereotypes around flawless skin and skin shade are widespread in society.
Through Uncover, we want to inspire women to wear their skin proudly wherever they are in their journey. We want to make women feel great about themselves by providing effective products and building a brand that embraces the philosophy of real over perfect skin and healthy self care.
We have started with skincare, but are powered by a community of African women who can connect, share, and have fun as they ‘uncover’ together.

HILARY TAIWO
Cosmetic Scientist
Hillary Taiwo is a Cosmetic Scientis with over 12 years professional experience. She started her cosmetic career from the basics; in make-up application and continued with its science as an undergraduate. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science from University of the Arts, London College of Fashion. In 2010, Hillary continued her career at the technical end of the industry, as a research and development product formulator (Cosmetics) in Procter & Gamble.
LALITA
Cosmetic Scientist
Lalita is a cosmetic chemist with a knack for thinking outside of the box. She received her Masters degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and Bachelors degree in Chemistry from Rutgers University. Lalita’s passion and experience lies in developing skincare products tailored to consumer needs. She has worked with both leading global multinational and indie skincare brands in the beauty industry, and is seasoned in formulating, regulatory and product development.
